TACK-TILES® Anagram Challenge

Materials Required: TACK-TILES® Braille Systems literary English version

Skills targeted: Braille reading, spelling, problem solving, logic

Setup: Starting at the upper left corner of a TACK-TILES® Worksheet support slate, assemble the root word or phrase that the students will work from along the top row. This can be anything: a student's name, an upcoming holiday, etc.

Procedure: Let the students read and examine the root word. The students should then take the letters from the root word and make new words on another row of the slate. Between each attempt, the root word should be restored. Players may want to set up a scoring system based either on the number of words created, or the number of letters used to make those words, or time spent.
