TACK-TILES® Master Mind game.
Materials needed: TACK-TILES® Braille
Systems Nemeth Braille code version.
Setup procedure: Using a large TACK-TILES®
support slate, begin at the upper left hand corner. Place a row
of six TACK-TILES® beginning with Nemeth number 5, then 6
and so forth on to 9, then 0. Place an identical row beneath the
first, then repeat this until all eight rows have the six numerals.
Move to the opposite side of the support
slate, the place the digits 1 through 4 in the last four columns
making eight rows of these. Many empty positions will be left
in the center of the large support slate.
Using a TACK-TILES® palm support slate,
place a row of six TACK-TILES® beginning with Nemeth number
5, then 6 and so forth on to 9, then 0 onto the top row of placement
sites
Play procedure: Player no.1, unseen by
the opposing player, arranges a row of four of his six TACK-TILES®
in any sequence on the palm slate. It is the task of player No.2
to discern that sequence. That player using the large slate begins
by selecting four TACK-TILES® from the six on the bottom row
and placing them in a sequence one space removed on that bottom
row.
Player no. 1 must report how many TACK-TILES®
chosen by player no. 2 are part of the hidden sequence.
Player no. 2 then records this information by selecting the TACK-TILES®
with the proper numeral from the columns on the right hand side
of the large support slate and placing that numeral one space
removed, beside his chosen sequence.
Player no. 1 must then report how many
of the correctly chosen TACK-TILES® are also in proper position.
Player no. 2 then records this information likewise.
Player no.2 then moves up one row on the
large support slate and uses the information learned from the
row below to arrange a sequence identical to that on the opposing
player's TACK- TILES® palm slate. Player no. 2 has eight tries
to glean enough information to discover the sequence, then the
players exchange roles.
